February 2023 Release Notes

Comments in the Mobile Application

With this release, we optimize the comments tab on our mobile app for iPhone and Android, providing managers a more seamless experience when reading and interacting with survey comments.
New Functionality Title
New Functionality
Comment Cards
Each comment, in the comments tab and on driver pages, displays as a card. The new card view enables you to hold down on a comment card to surface its acknowledgment and reply options, or click the card to open the conversation page of the comment. This provides a more seamless and organized user experience when working through comments.
Comment Tab User Interface
We introduce a search bar at the top of the comments tab, enabling you to surface comments containing specific keywords. The search bar contains filters, including sensitive keyword categories, enabling you to further narrow down your search.
We also improve the user interface on individual comment conversation pages with these changes:
  • We display an expanded list of acknowledgment options, helping you to quickly select an acknowledgment.
  • We bring to the forefront icons corresponding to the names of managers who can interact with the comment, providing you with context over who you can @mention in your interaction. It's also possible to click on the icons to display full names.
  • We add a text field under the comment, enabling you to start typing your reply immediately. If you're typing your first reply to the comment, suggested responses will display, providing you an optional template for your response.
  • We move the option to add an internal note behind the + icon of additional options, placing more focus on the public reply mode.
  • We add a warning message when you @mention someone in the public reply mode, enabling you to proceed or convert the text to an internal note, reducing human error.
  • We introduce comment reply caching, so you no longer lose replies you have typed as drafts, if you leave the comment or the app before sending the reply. Each draft will display on the conversation page of the related comment the next time you open it.

Curated Insights Dashboard

With this release, we introduce the Curated Insights dashboard, summarizing survey results across core question sets in a single view. This dashboard enables senior leaders to be more self-sufficient in their dashboard, by getting an overall view of their results fast, reducing the need to rely on Human Resource Business Partners to provide dashboard summaries.
We add a new tab in the Insights area for the Curated Insights dashboard. Administrators can enable the dashboard in Access Control on a per-group basis.
Within the dashboard, we provide:
  • A filter to select the timeframe for the results, providing a window for scores and participation over time.
  • An expandable list of selected priorities for the Engagement question set.
  • A section displaying the biggest driver changes during selected timeframe, reducing the need for manual analysis.
  • The ability to expand biggest driver changes to display sub-teams of the senior leader, enabling you to quickly identify teams that require support.

Comment Acknowledgments in Personal Dashboards

With this update, we improve the personal dashboard experience for employees, by surfacing the names of managers who acknowledged their comments. This update provides employees with a more unified survey and personal dashboard experience, removing the need to primarily rely on acknowledgment email notifications.
We add acknowledgment icons under comments on the personal dashboard, enabling employees to click to display a slide-in panel with the acknowledgment list.

Peakon Workday Integration Connection Validation

With this update, we enhance the user experience of the Workday to Peakon integration. We add validations to the Peakon to Workday connection to help prevent user-input errors, saving you time and effort.
On Peakon, we add validations on the Peakon to Workday connection page to alert users when they input:
  • Incorrect usernames or passwords.
  • Invalid tenant names.
  • Invalid web service host addresses.

User Interface on Comments Page

We update the user interface of the manager comment tooltip (found on each comment) to align more closely with keyboard accessibility requirements. This improves the experience for users that rely on a keyboard to navigate their dashboard.
We turn the manager comment tooltip into a clickable link, revealing a slide-in panel with a list of manager names. When leaving the manager list, keyboard users no longer need to click out of the tooltip, meeting the accessibility success criterion of content being keyboard dismissible without moving hover or keyboard focus.
