Set Up Single Sign-On with Okta

Security:
  • Administrator
     access in Peakon and Okta.
If your employees have email addresses from multiple domains, you need to specify them on your organization's account for Single Sign-On (SSO) to work. Contact Customer Care for assistance.
You can set up SSO so your employees can sign into Peakon using their Okta credentials.
The Okta/Peakon SAML integration supports SP-initiated SSO and IdP-initiated SSO.
  1. Enable SSO in Peakon.
    1. Go to
      Administration
      Integrations
      Single Sign-On
      .
    2. Click
      Connect
      .
      The page will now display SSO configuration fields. You will reference or add information to this page in steps 3-4.
  2. Add the Peakon app to your managed SaaS apps in Okta.
    1. In Okta, go to your applications and search for Peakon.
    2. Add the Peakon application to your Okta instance.
  3. Configure the Peakon app in Okta.
    1. On the Peakon app in Okta, select the
      Sign-On
       tab and click
      Edit
      .
    2. Enter the company subdomain and company ID portion from the
      Entry ID
       field in Peakon into the
      Company subdomain
       and the
      Company ID
       fields in Okta.
      Example: When the Entry ID is
      https://kinetar.peakon.com/saml/101/metadata
      , then the company subdomain is
      kinetar
       and the company ID is
      101
      .
  4. Finish the setup on the integration page in Peakon.
    1. Enter the
      SSO Login URL
       from your Okta Admin app.
    2. Download the certificate from your Okta Admin app, and upload it to the
      Certificate
       field in Peakon.
    3. Click
      Save
      .
  5. Test single sign-on.
    1. Sign out of Peakon, then sign back in using your work email address and continue.
    2. Peakon should redirect you to the single sign-on page in Okta, then redirect back to Peakon.
Users can now sign in to Peakon using Okta by following these steps:
  1. Go to your organization’s Peakon URL.
  2. Enter their email address and press
    Continue
    .
  3. Peakon will authenticate through Okta, and redirect the user to their Peakon dashboard.
