Concept: Single Sign-On Survey Link
Background
The Single Sign-On (SSO) survey link is a universal URL that takes employees directly to their survey. This improves the survey experience by providing quick and easy access for all employees, regardless of their location or device.
When accessed, the SSO survey link validates the user's SSO details, then brings the user directly to their unique survey. If the user does not have an active SSO session, the webpage prompts the user to login in order to continue.
The SSO survey link validates the user SSO details, which prevents accidental survey completions under another employee's Peakon account.
If the employee is assigned to multiple survey schedules, they can complete both surveys through the link. The system will present the first survey launched.
Configuration
Administrators can access the
Survey Link
tab in the tile.If there are employees without an email address in your organization, set up the method of access using the
Name ID
setting to Employee Number
. If set to Email
, employees must use their email to login.Administrators can view and share the SSO survey link with employees as needed.
Employees and managers do not require personal dashboard access to utilize this feature.
Recommendations
- Inform employees ahead of the survey launch about this survey access method. Let them know it's a universal link they can bookmark for easy access.
- Explain in training materials that the SSO survey link enables deskless workers to reuse the same survey link.
Limitations
- This feature is only available to companies that have enabled the custom subdomain.
- Administrators must share the link with employees. The SSO survey link is not shared automatically through Peakon.
