Score View Options
Score View | Displayed Score | Distribution Type | Calculation | Use Case |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Average score with NPS distribution (Default) . | Average score, with toggle option to view as NPS score. | NPS (0-6 Detractors, 7-8 Passives, 9-10 Promoters) | Calculates the average of each employee’s latest scores for the 4 engagement questions. Each employee’s average is used to calculate the team’s average. The average score is displayed alongside a breakdown of response counts in each NPS category. | Use when you want to track precise score movement and show NPS grouping to interpret engagement behaviors. |
Average score with favorability distribution. | Average score, with toggle option to view as favorability percentage. | Favorability (0-3 Unfavorable, 4-6 Neutral, 7-10 Favorable) | Same as above. The average is displayed alongside a breakdown of responses in favorability categories. | Use when average scores are preferred but benefits from a familiar interpretation of score ranges. |
NPS score with NPS distribution. | NPS score (range:- 100 to 100), with toggle option to view as Average score. | NPS (0-6 Detractors, 7-8 Passives, 9-10 Promoters) | Identifies each employee’s average score across the 4 engagement questions. Each score is mapped to an NPS group. The NPS score is calculated by subtracting % Detractors from % Promoters. Passives are excluded from the final score. | Use when you want to benchmark engagement performance with the widely recognized eNPS metric. |
Favorability percentage with favorability distribution. | Favorability percentage (responses scored 7-10), with toggle option to view as Average score. | Favorability (0-3 Unfavorable, 4-6 Neutral, 7-10 Favorable) | Calculates the percentage of individual responses (not averages) that fall in the 7-10 range. The result is shown as the favorability percentage. Distribution shows how all responses fall into unfavorable, neutral, or favorable categories. | Use when stakeholders are familiar with 5-point scales or favorability reporting. Ideal for reporting by % positive sentiment. |
Considerations
- Favorability Percentage and distributions rounds up percentages. As a result, the sum of Unfavorable, Neutral, and Favorable percentages may exceed 100%.
- NPS mode excludes Passives (7–8) from the score calculation. This can lead to differences in interpretation when compared to Average or Favorability views.
- Average and NPS scores are calculated using different methodologies. Switching between them may change which drivers appear above or below benchmark.
