FAQ: Why Does A Former Manager's Segment Display In The Aggregated Heat Map But Not Per Round?
The heat map displays a segment when it contains employees from the context you're in and meets your organization's visibility requirements within the visibility window.
When a manager changes, you reassign their employees to the new manager. In the survey round following the change, each employee's latest score transfers to the new segment, and the former manager's segment retains only historical scores.
In the default
Score
view, the former manager's segment continues to display because it holds scores that remain valid within the Aggregation period
visibility window. The segment stops displaying when those scores fall outside the window, or when you delete the former manager. When you set
View to Diff. to round
and select a round from the Round end
, the heat map compares scores against that round. The former manager's segment receives no responses in the rounds after the reassignment, so it has no data to compare and doesn't display. To display the segment again, select a round that closed before the reassignment. The number of unique employees who answered during the visibility window also controls whether a segment displays. Administrators set this in the
Number of responses
setting on . A former manager's segment that falls below this threshold doesn't display, even when it retains valid scores. To move historical scores and comments to the new manager's segment, backdate the segment change. Backdating withdraws the data from the former manager's segment, and you can't undo it.
