FAQ: Why Does It Say 'No Data Yet' When I Display a Dashboard?
When you assign some employees to a segment, the segment starts to populate with new survey data from the next survey round. Configure your employee data before a survey round opens (the day before, at latest), to ensure your segment dashboards associate to the correct employees during the survey round.
When you see the message:
No data yet...
in the middle of a blank dashboard, it can mean:
- The segment does have associated employees inAdministration.
- The employees weren’t part of the segment before the latest survey round started. Example: You assigned them to the segment after the latest round already started, or even ended.
You can see this message regardless of whether the segment had data previously. Example: You moved some employees back and forth during a data upload, and you didn't backdate their segment values after correcting the information.
This message doesn't necessarily indicate that the segment is below a participation threshold. Employees can continue to complete the survey, whether or not they're part of the dashboard of a specific segment.
Solution
There are 2 possible solutions:
- Wait for the next survey round from which the dashboard will start collecting data. This solution is appropriate if historical data access on this segment isn't necessary, and the employee assignment to the segment correlates with real-world timing.
- Backdate segment values for those employees. In order for the employees to be part of the dashboard after a specific survey round, backdate their values to a date that's before that round started.
