Assign Actions to Other Managers

Assign Actions to Other Managers

Security:
  • Access to
    actions
    .
  • Manage actions
    access control permission.
  • Full access to the dashboard of a manager.
You can assign actions to the segments of managers that report to you. The action will display in the context of that manager's dashboard, and they will receive a notification when you add it.
Use action plans as a to-do list to work on areas that require improvement; driver scores do not directly affect action plans. If a driver score is below par, you can create and link an action plan to that driver. This demonstrates to employees that you hear their feedback and have a plan to address their dissatisfaction.
  1. Access the
    My team's actions
    page in the left sidebar.
  2. Locate the manager who should have this action, and click
    Add action
    next to their segment.
  3. Enter a name for the action.
  4. (Optional) Add a description.
  5. (Optional) Add a deadline.
  6. When you set a deadline, the segment's manager receives an actions reminder on the Monday of the week that the deadline is due.
  7. Select the question set and driver to associate the action with. This step is already complete if you created the action directly on a driver.
  8. Complete the sharing settings:
    Option
    Description
    Shared with all
Team members will be able to see this action on their personal dashboard or your shared dashboard, if the manager links the action to a focus area.
Not shared on personal and shared dashboards
Only managers for this context can view this action.
  9. (Optional) Add a checklist.
After you create the action, the segment's manager can mark it as done, edit, delete, or archive it.
When users click the action, it displays the name of the manager who created it and the creation date. Additionally, the
Usage Metrics
report attributes the action to the manager who created it.
