Review Documents with AI Playbooks

Your organization must opt in to the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA) to use AI Review as part of the Full Document Review skill. you might need to take additional steps to enable this feature based on your organization's subscription service agreement. Your organization is either on the Main Service Agreement (MSA) or the UMSA. To determine your organization's subscription service agreement:
  1. Select your profile avatar on Workday Community.
  2. Select
    Profile
    .
  3. On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
  4. View your
    Subscription Service Agreement
    value.
If the value is:
Note: Standalone Contract Lifecycle Management customers (Evisort) should contact their Account team to confirm that this feature is included in their subscription.
Your user role must have
AI Review & Editing: Access
.
Reviewers run AI Review within a workflow ticket to receive a clause-level assessment of risks, missing terms, and suggested redlines based on playbook requirements. They can apply changes with tracked edits and rerun AI reviews at any stage of the negotiation process to ensure evolving drafts remain aligned with company standards.
  1. Open a document in the in-app editor within a workflow ticket.
    If the document is a PDF, you must convert it to DOCX before running the review.
  2. Click
    AI Review
    from the right-hand menu panel.
    You must run AI Review before making manual edits to the document to ensure accurate redline placement.
  3. Select the appropriate Playbook and click
    Run AI Review
    .
    The AI reads the full document and compares it against every guideline in the selected playbook.
  4. Assess results in the AI Review panel:
    • Review Required
      : Items that deviate from company standards and need attention.
    • No Issues Found:
      Clauses that the AI validated as compliant.
  5. Address findings by reviewing the AI Reasoning and suggested redlines.
    For each finding you can:
    • Accept the suggested redline to apply the change to the document with tracked edits.
    • Reject if the suggestion isn't applicable, with optional feedback on why.
    • Modify the suggestion before applying.
  6. Verify that the changes appear in the document as tracked changes.
    You can continue editing, accepting additional suggestions, or making manual changes as needed.
  7. Click
    Save as a New Version
    to preserve the edits.
