FAQ: Salesforce Connector for Contract Lifecycle Management and Contract Intelligence
- Why doesn't the Contract Management in Salesforce show any data at the Account Level?
- The Contract Management record component in Salesforce displays only Contract Management records directly associated with the selected account record. To access Contract Management records associated with an opportunity, navigate directly to the opportunity record.
- Can I change the fields displayed in the Evisort Record Page in Salesforce?
- No. The Evisort Record Page is a static layout for the Document Intelligence and related records (Evisort__c) in Salesforce. This view shows all active Contract Intelligence metadata fields and provisions.During installation and configuration, you can configure metadata fields as Active or Inactive in Salesforce using the Sync Fields tab in Evisort Admin.
- Can I edit values for fields displayed in the Evisort Record Page in Salesforce?
- Yes, except for read-only fields, users with the Evisort User permission set can update Document Intelligence fields using the Evisort record page. When you edit a field value on the Evisort record custom component in Salesforce, the component immediately updates that field in Evisort. However, if you update the same metadata field elsewhere, outside of the custom component, the data doesn’t export to Document Intelligence.
- Can I configure Salesforce integration with any object?
- Yes, the integration is designed to work with any Salesforce object, standard or custom.
- Do I need to map all intake form fields?
- No, mapping fields is optional.Salesforce record fields that are mapped automatically pre-fill the intake form. Fields that aren’t mapped remain blank.
- If I delete a contract in Salesforce, does it delete in Contract Management and Document Intelligence?
- No, deleting a contract in Salesforce does not delete it in Contract Management and Document Intelligence.
- Can I uninstall and reinstall the Evisort App in Salesforce?
- Workday doesn’t recommend this for production orgs. Contact your support representative to discuss your specific needs. This may be necessary in a Salesforce Sandbox following a data refresh.Uninstalling the Managed Package deletes all data and metadata related to the integration. You must also remove the connection from Integrations in Evisort Admin.Considerations for the re-installation:
- All Salesforce files will require re-synchronization to re-establish the link with the Contract Intelligence metadata. This action creates duplicate document handlers. However, both are linked to the original document in Contract Intelligence.
- You must reconfigure all setup steps, including workflow mapping, named credentials, authentication, synchronization criteria, layout changes, and the intake form button.
- All Evisort Ticket data in Salesforce, especially in progress tickets, will be lost and can’t be recovered. However, the ticket will remain valid in Contract Lifecycle Management and you can continue to work on it from that interface.
- Can I report on Contract Management and Document Intelligence metadata in Salesforce?
- You can include Contract Intelligence metadata fields in your custom reports; however, you can’t include provisions due to their length.
