Set Up Worker Pensions Auto-Enrolment (UK)

You can indicate specific pensions auto-enrolment details for a worker, such as:
- Exceptions from employer duties.
- External or legacy assessment history.
- Opting in.
- Opting out, along with the reason.
- Resuming employer duties.
You only need to enter auto-enrolment details for workers with specific cases; Workday assesses all workers unless they have an exception.

- As you complete the task, on thePensions Auto Enrolment Detailstab, consider:

If the reason isn't listed, use theCommentsfield.Exception from Employer DutiesWhen selected, Workday doesn't assess the worker for pensions auto-enrolment. Enter theReason for Exception.To remove the exception, add a row to the grid and selectResume Employer Duties. - (Optional) When the worker has a staging date that's been processed outside of Workday, enter any external or legacy assessments on theLegacy Assessment History Onlytab.When an eligible jobholder's assessment is postponed either:
- in the external or legacy system, or
- from when they're hired
Deferral Date after Assessment/Hiredate to ensure that they're assessed on that date. If you selectNot Assessed (Postponed from Hire)in theWorker Typecolumn, Workday doesn't automatically calculate theDeferral Date after Assessment/Hire.Other than theDeferral Date after Assessment/Hire, dates on this tab don't impact assessment and are for information only. - (Optional) If you use a payroll input to override theGBR Pensions Auto Enrolment Assessment [GBR]pay component for a worker, Workday displays Yes in theOverridecolumn on theAssessment Historytab.TheAssessment Historytab holds all pay results and information relating to a worker's enrolment assessment.
