Set Up Security for Data Lake User Provisioning

  • See the Data Lake Setup in Workday section of Get Started with Workday Data Lake. This topic is part of a larger procedure.
  • Security: These domains in the System functional area:
    • Security Activation
    • Security Configuration
The
Manage: Datalake User Provisioning
 domain controls who can provision integration system users (ISUs) to Workday Data Lake.
  1. Access the
    View Domain
     report and select
    Manage: Datalake User Provisioning
     from the
    Domain
     prompt.
  2. From the related actions menu of the domain, select
    Domain
    Create Security Policy
    .
    If a security policy already exists, select
    Domain
    Edit Security Policy Permissions
    .
  3. If you're creating a new policy, select the
    Confirm
     check box and click
    OK
    .
  4. In the
    Report/Task Permissions
     grid, add rows and select the security groups whose members will manage user provisioning for Data Lake.
  5. Select the
    View
     and
    Modify
     check boxes for each security group, according to the level of access required.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
  7. From the related actions menu of the
    Manage: Datalake User Provisioning
     domain, select
    Domain Security Policy
    Enable
    .
  8. Select the
    Confirm
     check box, and click
    OK
    .
  9. Access the
    Activate Pending Security Policy Changes
     task.
    1. Add an appropriate comment and click
      OK
      .
    2. Review the changes, select the
      Confirm
       check box, and click
      OK
      .
After you activate the security policy changes, members of the security groups you selected can access the Data Lake user provisioning tasks required to set up Data Lake ISUs.
