Concept: Minimum Wage Analysis Skill

Concept: Minimum Wage Analysis Skill

Overview

The Minimum Wage Analysis skill of the Payroll agent helps provide you with contextual data analysis and insights related to minimum wage rates and costs.
When you query the Payroll agent, Workday uses AI to generate analysis on the estimated employer costs and number of impacted employees from new minimum wage rates in the U.S. and Canada.
This skill enables you to review and analyze the impact of minimum wage rates changed within the past 6 months or up to 6 months in the future. Your query results are the latest minimum wage changes for a given tax authority, effective 6 months before or after today's date.
For tax authorities with more than 1 minimum wage compliance update in that time frame, you receive the latest compliance update information in your results. Example: California has two minimum wage updates, effective 02/01/2026 and 04/01/2026. The 04/01/2026 minimum wage update is the latest update so is used when calculating employer costs.
This skill is only applicable for:
  • Payroll for the U.S.
  • Payroll for Canada
