Set Up Adoption Agent
To register and use agents in the Agent System of Record fully in your tenants, you must opt in to the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA). UMSA is required for non-production and production tenants for Workday-Built agents.
- Select your profile avatar on Workday Community.
- SelectProfile.
- On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
Flex Credits are only required for registering and using agents in your Production tenant. You don’t need to sign the Flex Credit and Platform Entitlements Policy to use the Release Impact Analysis skill, as it is only available in your Preview tenant.
- Security: TheReports: AI Agent Securitydomain in the System functional area and these domains in the Agent System of Record functional area. You might need to create a security policy for these domains. See Concept: Security Policies.

You can register, configure, and activate the Adoption Agent in Workday in your Preview tenant using the
Agent Management Hub
to use the Release Impact Analysis skill. For more information on the Release Impact Analysis skill, seeRelease Impact Analysis. The Adoption Agent is not available in your Production tenant because the Release Impact Analysis skill can only evaluate automatically available features that have not yet moved to production.
- Access theAgent Management Hub.
- Select theUnregistered Workday Agentstab.
- ClickRegisterfor the Adoption Agent.If you can't accessRegister, ensure you have Modify permissions in theSetup: Agentsdomain.You can only register agents in the products your organization has access to.
- Select theConfirmcheck box and clickOK.Workday moves the Adoption Agent to theAgent Registrytab.
- Select theAgent Registrytab and click the Adoption Agent name.
- ClickConfigure Agent.
- In theStatuscolumn, enable the Release Impact Analysis skill.
- From theAvailable Toprompt, select the security groups that require access to the Release Impact Analysis skill.Workday evaluates both user access to the agent and to the APIs the agent is executing as tools at runtime. Workday recommends that you evaluate alignment between the security groups in theAvailable Toprompt and the security groups that have permissions for the tools the agent might execute.
- ClickActivate.
Workday enables the Release Impact Analysis skill in your Preview tenant. Users in the selected security groups can now access the
Release Impact Analysis
task in the Adoption Planning
report.Workers with access to the
Adoption Planning Hub
can view release impact analysis reports without having access to the Adoption Agent.
