Create Adoption Items from Impact Analysis Reports

Set up the Adoption Agent. See Set Up Adoption Agent.
You can create adoption items from impact analysis reports generated with the Release Impact Analysis skill. Creating adoption items from your release impact reports enables you to track your team’s uptake of new features and enhancements in the Adoption Planning Hub. See Setup Considerations: Adoption Planning Hub.
  2. Select the release notes that you want to link to adoption items.
  3. Click
    Add to Adoption Planning
    , then:
    Option
    Description
    Create Individual Item(s)
    Creates an adoption item for each release note.
    Create Item for Group
    Creates a single adoption item for a group of release notes.
    Link Group to Existing Item(s)
    Links a group of release notes, and their impact analysis reports, to existing adoption items. If you select this option, you won't proceed to the
    Add to Adoption Planning
     prompt.
  4. As you complete the
    Create Adoption Item from Release Impact Report
    prompt, consider:

    Status
    Statuses identify workflows for deployment. To add items to your backlog, assign 1 of these statuses:
    • In Backlog
    • In Review
    • Prioritized
    To add items to your roadmap, assign 1 of these statuses:
    • Deferred
    • On Roadmap
    Using the
    Maintain Adoption Item Statuses
     task, you can:
    • Create your own custom statuses.
    • Configure how adoption items are displayed in Adoption Planning based on status.
    Assigned To
    When adding an adoption item to your roadmap, select an assignee for the adoption item. If you don't select an assignee, Workday assigns the adoption item to you.
Workday creates the adoption items and your impact analysis report is shared in the
Comment
 column.
