The Release Impact Analysis skill is available in the
Adoption Planning Hub
. It uses AI and the
What’s New in Workday
report to compare automatically available features against your tenant usage to recommend suggested actions such as testing or review.
The Release Impact Analysis skill helps you identify potential dependencies by comparing release notes to actual usage data in your tenant. This output helps identify specific reports, fields, and processes that might require review as a result of a release.

types to the release note based on your historic usage:

Description
Access Blocked
The Adoption Agent relies on your security access. The analysis excludes items you cannot view, so the test plan is incomplete.
Configuration Required
Workday recommends that you test and configure this feature, as it likely affects your tenant.
No Impact
You don’t use the functionality that’s changing. Workday doesn’t expect this feature to affect your tenant.
Review Only
The changing functionality is relevant to your tenant, but likely doesn’t affect your existing processes or end users. Workday recommends that you review the feature for potential action.
Testing Recommended
Workday expects this feature can impact your existing processes or end users. You can test this functionality using the test plan available from

Unknown Impact
Workday cannot determine the impact on your tenant. See the
Impact Summary
column for more details.

Release Note
A link to the release note on the Release Center. Release notes on the Release Center can include additional information such as change logs and videos.
Release Note Corrected Date
The date that the release note was last corrected. Example: We correct the name of a new task.
Updated Date
The date that the release note was last updated. Example: We added a video or documented an additional feature enhancement.

Feedback on Report
column.

Security Access

The Adoption Agent relies on the worker's security access to analyze the impact of feature changes to your tenant. When accessed through a proxy session, the Adoption Agent might not return accurate results.
