FAQ: Sign In to Workday VNDLY

Requirement	Description
Password Length	Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
Complexity	Your password must contain at least 8 characters and can't be a commonly used password.
Expiration	Currently, passwords for VNDLY login don’t have an expiration period.
Maximum Failed Login Attempts	Your account will be locked for 30 minutes after 5 consecutive incorrect login attempts.
Password History	When you perform a password reset, there's no restriction on reusing previous passwords.

Your locked account will be automatically unlocked after 30 minutes. After this time, you can attempt to log in again using the correct credentials. If you don't remember your password, use the

Forgot Password

option.

To ensure continuous login access, we recommend performing these steps to update expiring, single sign-on (SSO) certificates:

Planning and Preparation
Confirm which tenant needs the SSO certificates to be updated: Production, Test, or both tenants.
Note the expiration date of your current certificates.
Obtain the full SAML metadata file from your Identity Provider (IdP). If you only have certificates, you must acquire the complete metadata file.
Coordinate a specific date and time with your team to perform the updates.
Ensure an active user who can log in to VNDLY using SAML SSO is available for verification and testing.
Before you make any changes, thoroughly document your current metadata:
Duplicate the current browser tab to keep the original IdP metadata accessible for quick reference or a potential revert.
Save the current metadata to a separate local file.
Take screenshots of the current metadata configuration within VNDLY.
Update IdP Metadata in VNDLY
After the update has been performed on your IdP, log in to VNDLY and navigate to

From the
Security
section, click
SAML Single Sign On
.
Click
Edit
for the desired SAML authentication server.
On the
Identity Providers
tab, click
Edit
for the desired IdP.
Paste the content of your full, new SAML metadata file into the
IdP metadata
field.
Click
Save
.
Verification and Testing
To confirm the update was successful, log in to VNDLY with the designated SSO test user to verify a successful login.
We strongly recommend that you perform these changes and verify them in your Test tenant first before deploying them in your Production tenant.
