Steps: Manage Mass Student Status Changes

You can configure business processes and run mass actions to update these program of study status changes for multiple students:
  • Discontinue
  • Dismissal
  • Suspension
The mass actions include:
  • Changing the status of all programs of study on academic records.
  • Processing current and future student registrations.
  • Setting up notifications.
  1. Configure these business processes in the Student Records functional area:
    • Mass Discontinue Event
    • Mass Dismissal Event
    • Mass Suspension Event
  2. Configure the security policy for these business processes in the Student Records functional area:
    • Mass Discontinue Event
    • Mass Dismissal Event
    • Mass Suspension Event
  3. Edit Domain Security Policies.
    Configure the security policy for the
    Manage: Student Mass Update
     domain in the Student Records functional area.
  4. Activate Pending Security Policy Changes.
  5. Access the
    Mass Update Student Status
     report.
    1. Select the relevant criteria to narrow down the student population.
    2. Select the students that you want to update the status for.
    3. Click
      Mass Discontinue
      ,
      Mass Dismiss
      , or
      Mass Suspend
      .
    4. On the confirmation page, you can review details, select a reason for the status change, and exclude students.

     domain in the Student Records functional area.
View the updated student statuses that resulted from a mass action on the
View Program of Study History for Student
 report.
