Concept: Historical Students
Workday classifies students into these categories:
- Active.
- Historical.
Workday uses active student data for transactional processing. Historical students are those who are no longer attending the institution. During implementation, we import their records into Workday from legacy systems as a set of student data you can use to:
- Generate transcripts.
- Reactivate a student’s credit for processing when the student returns.
You can view and edit historical student data in the Workday tenant. When a historical student reapplies to your institution, you can reactivate their academic record. See Manage Historical Student Connections.
