Reference: GPA Calculations
Workday calculates the GPA based on various reporting items using period and cumulative statistics. GPAs calculated with period statistics refers to all registrations that are contained within an Academic Period Record (APR). GPAs calculated with cumulative statistics refers to all registrations contained within the APR and any prior APR. You can report on GPA for courses taken internally or externally.

Most Recent Credential - Cumulative GPA | Student External Transcript | Cumulative GPA of the most recently earned credential for the student external transcript. If multiple credentials share the most recent date, the report field returns the highest Cumulative GPA. | External transcript is edited. | Selects the Cumulative GPA from whichever credential has the most recent date. If 2 credentials are earned on same date, the highest Cumulative GPA is returned. Any credentials without Cumulative GPA will be ignored.
