Steps: Set Up Student Personal Information

You can define:
  • The values that students can select when entering or updating their personal information.
  • Which countries or regions where the personal information fields apply.
  1. From the
    Area
    prompt, select the
    Personal Information
    option.
    Workday considers students as the Worker person type. Configure student localization settings for the Worker person type.
    Filter the
    Applies to Person Type
    column by
    Worker
    . Add countries or regions to and activate the relevant localized fields.
  2. Access these tasks to define values for personal information fields by country or country region:
    • Maintain Aboriginal/Indigenous Identification Details
    • Maintain Citizenship Statuses
    • Maintain Ethnicities
    • Maintain Gender Identities
    • Maintain Name Types
    • Maintain Pronouns
    • Maintain Sexual Orientations
    Security:
    Set Up: Contact Info, IDs, and Personal Data
    domain in the Contact Information functional area.
To edit personal information, select
Personal Data
Edit Personal Information
from the student's related actions menu. You can edit information, such as:
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Marital status
  • Race and ethnicity
  • Aboriginal/Indigenous identification
  • Citizenship status
  • Military service
To edit preferred and legal names, select
Personal Data
Maintain Names
from the student's related actions menu. You can also edit:
  • Home, work, and institutional contact information.
  • Photo.
  • National ID, including government IDs.
