Example: Create Eligibility Rules for Application Pools Based on Applicant Scores

Illustrates how to create eligibility rules to route applications to application pools based on applicant scores.
Alma Mater University (AMU) assigns applications to application pools based on applicant scores. You need to create eligibility rules to assign applications to the correct application pool.
Create an applicant score scale called
AMU UG Score Scale
 with these ratings:
Rating
Minimum Score
Maximum Score
Presumptive Admit
10
10
Committee Review
5
5
Presumptive Deny
3
3
Check Application Data or Calculation
0
0
Security:
  • Manage: Admissions Foundation
     domain in the Admissions functional area.
  • Set Up: Student Eligibility Rules
     domain in the Academic Advising functional area.
  1. Access the
    Create Student Eligibility Rule
     task.
    Create an eligibility rule to identify applications that have an applicant score of
    Presumptive Admit
    .
    1. In the
      Eligibility Rule Type
       prompt, select
      Applicant Score
      .
    2. Click
      OK
      .
    3. Enter or select these values:
      Field
      Value
      Rule Name
      Presumptive Admit Score Calculation
      Academic Unit
      Alma Mater University
      Academic Level
      Undergraduate
      Student Applicant Score Scale
      AMU UG Score Scale
      Ratings

  2. Access the
    Create Student Eligibility Rule
     task.
    Create an eligibility rule to identify applications that have an applicant score of
    Committee Review
    .
    1. In the
      Eligibility Rule Type
       prompt, select
      Applicant Score
      .
    2. Click
      OK
      .
    3. Enter or select these values:

    .

      .
    2. Click
      OK
      .
    3. Enter or select these values:
