Set Up External Site Content

You can configure custom text to display on Applicant Home that informs applicants of the admissions decision or the current status of their application. The external site content is specific to an application grouping. When you copy an application grouping, Workday copies over its external site content as well so that you can reuse or modify the text as needed.
Workday automatically displays the text for a decision or status based on the progress of these business processes:
  • Admissions Evaluation Event
  • Student Application Decision Event
  • Publish Application Grouping Event
  • Student Application Withdraw Event
  1. Access the
    View Application Grouping
     report.
  2. Select
    Application Grouping
    Maintain External Site Content
     from the related actions menu of the application grouping.
  3. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    [Decision or Status] Title
    Enter a title that represents the admission decision or application status.
    [Decision or Status] Content
    (Optional) Enter a message or explanatory text for the admission decision or application status.
    Example: Congratulate admitted applicants and outline their next steps.
    Disable Decision Response
    Select to remove the option to accept or decline an offer of admission from the student external site.
    Example: Disable decision responses for applications to programs of study that automatically matriculate students and don't require responses.
    Publish [Application Status] Status
    Select this check box when you're ready to publish an application status and its content to the external student site.
    To display Waitlisted and Defer Decision, the current date must also fall within the display range configured on the application grouping.
    When clear, Workday doesn't display anything on the external student site even when you've entered a status title and content.
Workday displays text for the relevant status or decision as an application progresses through the admissions business processes. If you haven't configured text for a status or decision, the external student site doesn't display anything while the application has that status or decision.
