Create Eligibility Interim Calculations

domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
Eligibility interim calculations enable you to determine whether to include an award item on a financial aid package based on:
  • Eligibility calculations.
  • The presence or absence of other financial aid in the same package.
Example: You want a student to be eligible for Grant B if their GPA is 3.95 or higher, and Grant A isn't present in their financial aid package.
  1. Access the
    Create Student Eligibility Interim Calculation
    task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Academic Unit
    Select an academic unit that is the same or superior to the academic unit of the award item to which you want to assign the eligibility interim calculation.
    Operand 1
    Operand 2
    Calculation
    : Select to create or use an existing calculation in Workday. Both operands can't be calculations.
    Award Absent
    : An award is absent if it:
    • Isn't in the student's financial aid package.
    • Is canceled.
    • Won't be assigned in packaging.
    Award Present
    : An award is present if it:
    • Is in the student's financial aid package.
    • Isn't canceled.
    • Will be assigned in packaging.

    Select the awards you want to evaluate in the calculation. You can narrow your selection by specifying
    Award Types
    or
    Award Sources
    .
Assign the eligibility interim calculation to an award item.
