When you configure the
Set Up: Engagement Category Security Segments
domain, Workday automatically delivers segment-based security groups for these engagement categories:
- Academic Advising.
- Admissions.
- Student Recruiting.
- Financial Aid.
- Student Financials.
- Student Records.
You can create new categories to cultivate tighter, more specific security around different categories. Example: You can create a security group specifically for engagement items under the
Event - Cancel Notice
category instead of for the entire Student Recruiting
category.- Access theCreate Engagement Category Security Segmenttask.You can security segments to ensure users only have access to specific engagement categories.As you complete the task, consider:FieldDescriptionNameEnter a name that maps to a preexisting engagement category. Example: EnterEvent - Cancel Notice Segmentfor theEvent - Cancel Noticecategory.Engagement CategoriesSelect a category that you want the segment to grant access to.
