Example: Create Reports to View Eligibility Rules for Academic Requirements

This example illustrates 1 way to view all the eligibility rules used for the academic requirements in your institution.
You're the advising administrator for Alma Mater University. You want to evaluate all the eligibility rules for academic requirements. You create a report that displays all the eligibility rules for the academic requirements at your institution.
  1. Access the
    Create Custom Report
    task.
    Security:
    Custom Report Creation
    domain in the System functional area.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Report Name
    Enter
    Academic Requirements and Eligibility Rules
    .
    Report Type
    Select
    Advanced
    .
    Data Source
    Select
    Academic Requirements
    .
    Clear the
    Optimized for Performance
    check box.
  3. Click
    OK
    .
  4. On the
    Edit Custom Report
    task, as you complete the
    Columns
    tab, add these rows:
    Business Object
    Field
    Academic Requirement
    Academic Requirement
    Academic Requirement
    Eligibility Rule Type
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Qualifier
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Operator
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Grade
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Selector
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Number of Courses
    Student Eligibility Rule
    All Courses Including Courses from Smart Lists
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Smart Lists
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Courses from Smart Lists
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Units
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Unit Type
    Student Eligibility Rule
    In Residence
    Student Eligibility Rule
    Most Recently Attempted Units
  5. Click the
    Filter
    tab and add this row:
    And/Or
    Field
    Operator
    Comparison Type
    Comparison Value
    And
    Eligibility Rule Type
    NOT exact match with the selection list
    Value specified in this filter
    Combination
  6. Click the
    Prompts
    tab, and select these options:
    • Select
      Use date and time at runtime
      for the
      Effective Date
      prompt.
    • Select
      Use date and time at runtime
      for the
      Entry Date
    • Keep
      Display Prompt Values in Subtitle
  7. (Optional) Click the
    Output
    tab, and select
    Enable as Worklet
    if you want to display this report on a custom dashboard.
    From the
    Available On
    prompt, select the name of the dashboard.
  8. Click the
    Share
    tab, and select an option for sharing the report.
  9. Click
    OK
    and
    Done
    .
Run the report.
  • View the academic requirements and the courses applying to the requirement.
  • Click the requirement related actions menu to view the eligibility rule details.
  • Click the requirement to view the academic requirement details, including version information.
(Optional) Create a dashboard to view your report.
