Concept: Academic Requirement Groups

Concept: Academic Requirement Groups

You can create academic requirement groups to track the academic progress of students on a more granular level. Example: You want to track program requirements separately from general education requirements. These groups provide you and advisors with better insight into understanding the academic progress of your students.
You can configure academic requirement groups for an academic unit and academic level. All subordinate academic units and programs of study inherit the academic requirement group.
You can configure an academic requirement group to track academic progress by either academic requirements or units.
For groups that track academic progress by academic requirements, Workday evaluates each academic requirement in the group. Example: You can create academic requirement groups for general education, major programs, or minor programs.
For groups that track academic progress by units, you can add only 1 academic requirement that uses a
Unit Requirement
type eligibility rule. Workday evaluates academic progress based on the units specified in the eligibility rule. Example: You can create an academic requirement group for overall institutional units.
You can manage academic requirement groups using these tasks and reports:
  • Create Academic Requirement Group
  • Edit Academic Requirement Group
  • View Academic Requirement Group
You can add academic requirements to academic requirement groups on the
Configure Academic Requirements
task.
The
View Academic Progress by Groups
report enables you to track student progress toward completing the groups configured for their program of study.
