Concept: Temporary Reports

Concept: Temporary Reports

Temporary reports enable you to reduce clutter in your tenant by marking obsolete reports for deletion, and then deleting them in bulk. You can make any custom report temporary.
You can restrict users to create only temporary reports by assigning them to the
Ability to Create Only Temporary Reports
domain. They can still access all other reporting features.

Deleting Expired Temporary Reports

Expired temporary reports remain in your tenant until you run the
Delete My Temporary Report Definitions
task. Report Admins can run the
Delete All Temporary Report Definitions
task to delete all expired temporary report definitions.
You can also schedule the task to run on a regular basis. When the task runs, Workday permanently deletes any temporary reports that expire on or before the current date.

Changing Report Expiration Dates

Temporary reports expire 7 days after you create them. For all report types except for simple reports, you can change the expiration date on the
Advanced
tab of the report definition.

Saving Temporary Report Results

If you need to save temporary report results, you can export them as a spreadsheet or PDF.
