Example: Exclude Full Day Absences from Seniority Calculations (FRA)
The example illustrates how to exclude absences from the adjusted seniority calculation.
In Global Modern Services, workers do not continue to accrue seniority during unpaid time off.
Julie, the payroll administrator for Global Modern Services, wants to exclude
absences for unpaid leave from the adjusted seniority calculation, however she only
wants to exclude full days off.
The adjusted seniority calculation is
specific to payroll calculations, and is different from the seniority calculation
and length of service dates shown on Human Capital Management reports.
