Example: YTD Pay Balances for Custom Reporting

You have workers who contribute post-tax payments into their retirement plan after reaching their pretax limit. You want to display their year-to-date retirement contribution balances on pay results.
  • Create pretax and post-tax retirement deductions. See Steps: Create Deductions.
  • Create a pay accumulation called
    Retirement Pre and Post Tax
and add the pretax and post-tax retirement deductions to it. Creating an accumulation for your retirement deductions enables Workday to report on retirement calculations specifically and to automatically combine pretax and post-tax amounts into a single year-to-date amount. You can map individual deductions, but the report will display each value as a separate line.
