Setup Considerations: AI Generated Journeys

Setup Considerations: AI Generated Journeys

What They Are

AI Generated Journeys uses generative AI to create a draft journey from a name, business intention, target audience, and selected Workday resources. This feature reduces manual configuration and curation time.

Business Benefits

AI Generated Journeys accelerates curation and setup, reducing time-to-value, and increasing feature adoption.

Questions to Consider

Questions
Considerations
What devices do your journey administrators use?
Administrators must configure and generate journeys on a desktop browser.
It's not available on Workday mobile.
What languages do your journey administrators require for curation?
This feature is available in English only. You can use AI Journeys Translations to translate the content after converting the generated journey into a draft.
Do you have multiple journey administrators collaborating on the same layout?
The generated journey layout is only visible to the specific administrator who initiated the request. Other journey administrators can't view or access the layout until you convert it into a draft journey..

Recommendations

  • Include the target audience, goals, and intended outcomes in your prompt text. This improves the quality and accuracy of the generated steps and step groups.
  • Workday doesn’t automatically search for, or attach resources. Review the generated journey to identify where you must manually link your configured articles, tasks, or learning content.

Requirements

  • You might need to take additional steps to enable this feature based on your organization's subscription agreement. For more information, see this Workday Community: Enable Workday AI Features article.
  • The feature is restricted to worker and student recipient types only.
  • If you include a source that is irrelevant to your stated business intention, Workday might exclude it from the generation output.

Limitations

  • You can have only 1 generated journey in progress at a time. Starting a new generation automatically discards any existing in-progress journey.
  • Workday enforces a rate limit of 4 generation requests per minute per user.
  • This feature doesn't automatically create new resource assets, upload external sources, or distribute journeys.
