Steps: Configure Additional Reviewers for Competencies
Create an employee review template with a
Competencies
section.When you create an employee review template, you select which
Competencies
sections to send for additional review, but not specific competencies within each section. Additional reviewers can rate any or all of the listed competencies. Although Workday uses weighting to calculate results, this information isn't visible to reviewers.You can include up to 3 additional reviewer types for each
Competencies
section.- Access theMaintain Additional Reviewer Typestask.Complete the task:
Option Description NameWorkday displays the name as the reviewer type on theGet Additional Reviewerssubprocess.IDWe recommend using an ID that corresponds to theNamefield.DescriptionThis guides the review participants in selecting group members. - (Optional) Select theInactivecheck box.Workday removes the reviewer type as an option on review templates.To view which review templates use each additional reviewer type, click theTemplate Usagenumber.Workday displays the additional reviewer types on theGet Additional Reviewersstep of the business process based on their order in this grid.
- Access theConfigure Employee Review Templatetask.
- ClickEdit.
- In theOther Reviewer Optionssection, select theEnable Additional Reviewers for Competencies Sectioncheck box and specify anonymity options.
- In theTemplate Section Configurationsection, clickConfigure Sectionon theCompetenciesrow.
- In theSection Configurationsection, select additional reviewer types. This option is available only when you selectEnable Additional Reviewers for Competencies Sectionin theOther Reviewer Optionssection. You can configure the additional reviewers types on theMaintain Additional Reviewer Typestask.
- (Optional) Add theGet Additional Reviewerssubprocess to a development plan or a performance review business process. A common configuration is to launch it in parallel with the self-evaluation step.
Workers can add additional reviewers to
Competencies
sections in employee review templates.
When an administrator enables the
Talent Effect
option in the leave type for an employee on a Leave of Absence, you can't select this employee as an additional reviewer for the Get Additional Reviewers
subprocess.
