Set Up Step Progression Date Override

Security, in the Core Compensation functional area:
  • The
    Process: Within Grade Increase
    domain.
  • The
    Worker Data: Step Progression Target
    domain.
You can create step progression override events for workers and change their Workday-calculated
Next Step Progression Target Date
to a date of your choosing.
  1. Edit Business Processes.
    Access the
    Create Business process Definition (Default Definition)
    task. In the
    Business Process Type
    field, select
    Request Step Progression Date Override
    .
  2. Configure the security policy for the
    Request Step Progression Date Override
    business process.
  3. Access the
    Request Step Progression Date Override
    task.
When the
Request Step Progression Date Override
process completes, the selected worker’s
Next Step Progression Target Date
field in the Compensation section of their profile updates to the chosen date. The worker’s automatic step progression will occur on or after that date, depending on when your automatic step progression schedules run.
