Steps: Configure Evidence of Insurability

  • Connect a wellness partner.
  • Approve the wellness partner for the real-time evidence of insurability use case.
  • Create a
    SAML SSO
     link for employees to access the partner EOI form.
  • Ensure insurance coverage benefit plans are configured with appropriate eligibility and EOI requirement rules.
  • Security:
    Manage Evidence of Insurability Status
     domain in the
    Workday Wellness
     functional area.
You can enable employees to complete evidence of insurability (EOI) requirements through a wellness partner. Employees access partner-hosted EOI forms using SAML SSO links embedded in Workday tasks. You can track EOI statuses and apply admin overrides in Workday. Wellness partners must initiate an inbound POST request to establish the EOI setup before you can associate the
SAML SSO
 link.
  1. Access the
    Manage Related SSO SAML Link
     task.
  2. Associate the SAML SSO link with the wellness partner EOI setup.
    The SSO link is accessible to the worker after the wellness partner sends an SSO-ready status.
  3. (Optional) Configure the
    Change Benefits for Life Event
     or
    Change Benefits for Open Enrollment
     business processes to deliver the EOI request as an inbox item.
  4. Add an action step for the
    Review Evidence of Insurability Request
     task.
    If you do not add an action step to the business processes, Workday triggers a notification with a call to action immediately after the worker submits an election.
  5. Access the
    Manage Evidence of Insurability Status
     task.
  6. Review statuses and apply overrides if necessary. Complete the task:
    Option Description
    Admin Override - Approved
    Manually approves the EOI request, separate from carrier actions.
    Admin Override - Denied
    Manually denies the EOI request, separate from carrier actions.
Employees can manage EOI responses through Workday. Workday updates the EOI status in real time upon submission.
