Example: Display Balances for Plans with Intermittent Time Off
These examples suggest how you might configure balance tracking and visibility for 2 common
Absence policies. The examples are for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) scenarios, but apply
to any type of intermittent time off.
Employees at Cara's company can take PTO concurrently with FMLA. To support this policy,
Cara sets up a single time off plan, with 2 time offs that subtract from the plan. Her
time off plan must track and display balances because the intermittent PTO reduces its
time off plan and FMLA leave balances.

PTO Plan
, and either hide or not track balances for the Intermittent FMLA
