Resource pools are groups of project workers that simplify staffing. They also enable resource managers to run custom reports and view worker information on the
Resource Pool Manager
dashboard.- Access theCreate Resource Pool Hierarchytask to create a new hierarchy for the resource pool.You must have at least 1 resource pool hierarchy before you can create a new resource pool.As you complete the task, consider:
Option Description IDIf you leave theIDblank, Workday automatically generates a sequential ID for the resource pool.Resource Pools to IncludeSelect the resource pools for the hierarchy.RoleAssign theResource Pool Hierarchy Managerand theResource Pool Managerroles to the users who manage the resource pool hierarchy and its associated resource pools. - Access theCreate Resource Pooltask.As you complete the task, consider:

The resource pool managers can access the project workers in their assigned pools.
If resource pool managers need to access workers outside of their assigned resource pools, you need to create an unconstrained security group for them.
