Attach Files on Associated Intercompany Journals

You can attach files on intercompany accounting journals so that Workday can copy them to any associated child intercompany accounting journal. Displaying the attached files on the child journals provides associated companies:
- A strong audit trail.
- Increased accountability.
You can also restrict access to the attached files on the child intercompany journals and prevent users in companies from accessing the attached files.
- Access theEdit Tenant Setup - Financialstask.In theIntercompany Accounting Journal Optionssection, select theCopy Attachments to Intercompany Accounting Journalscheck box.Security: TheSet Up: Tenant Setup - Financialsdomain in the System functional area.
- Access 1 of these tasks to create an intercompany accounting journal:
- Create JournalConfigure theAccounting Journal Eventbusiness process and security policy in the Financial Accounting functional area.
- Create Recurring Journal TemplateSecurity: TheProcess: Journals - Coredomain in the Financial Accounting functional area.
- On at least 1 of yourJournal Entry Lines, select a company that differs from your header company.The companies you select are available on theCompanies Without Accessprompt.
- Add a file on theAttachmentstab.
- (Optional) Select the companies you don't want to have access on theCompanies Without Accessprompt.
Users in companies on associated intercompany accounting journals can view the attached files. You can't view an attachment if your company is included in
Companies Without Access
.
