You can configure help text for payment elections tasks, reports, and groups of tasks and reports to enable employees to provide accurate information.
Groups contain tasks and reports that provide the same functionality, but which may differ in who can use them, what they're called, and how you access them. When you configure help text for a group, it applies to all tasks and reports in the group. A group may contain both administrator and employee self-service tasks and reports. See Reference: Payment Elections Tasks, Reports, and Groups for Help Text Configuration.
You can replace the Workday default help text for all countries or for specific countries. You can also customize your help text using:
  • Rich text formatting, such as bold and hyperlinks.
  • Translations that are configured in your production tenant.
  1. Access the
    Maintain Payment Elections Help Text
    task.
  2. Complete the
    Country-Specific Help Text
    tab:
    Option
    Description
    Country
You can only select a country once, but you can add multiple help text configurations for each country.
Workday displays country-specific help text based on the worker's default country for payment elections, not the bank account country. Example: You configure different help text for France and the UK for the
    Add My Elections
employee self-service task. When a worker has a default country of France but their bank account is in the UK, the help text for France displays.
    Tasks, Reports, and Groups
Select any tasks, reports, or groups for which you want to replace any Workday default text or any general help text you have configured for these tasks, reports, or groups.
    Text
Workday recommends that you review your text for any sensitive or confidential information.
You can edit and delete custom help text. You can also change the tasks or reports displaying a configured help text.
When you delete custom help text for a task, report, or group, the Workday default text displays.
  3. Complete the
    General Help Text
    tab:
    Option
    Description
    Tasks, Reports, and Groups
When you configure general help text for tasks, reports, or groups, it replaces the Workday default help text. When you have configured country-specific help text for the same tasks, reports, or groups, the country-specific help text replaces the general help text for the specified countries only.
Example: You configure help text for
    Add Account (Group)
    and country-specific help text for
    Add Account (Group)
for Germany. The country-specific help text displays for workers whose default country for payment elections is Germany; otherwise, the general help text displays.
    Bank Account Lockout Help Text
Specify the help text to display on the lockout screen when a worker is unable to verify their bank account. The lockout screen and this text only display when you select the
Bank Account Verification for Payment Elections
    check box on the
    Edit Tenant Setup - Financials
task. If you leave this field blank, Workday displays a default message.
    Text
Ensure the instructions you provide are relevant to all the countries in your tenant, excluding any countries for which you've configured country-specific help text for the same tasks, reports, and groups.
