Troubleshooting: Unable to Email Customer Documents

Troubleshooting: Unable to Email Customer Documents

You printed a customer document, but when you want to email it, Workday doesn't include the intended email recipients. This topic provides strategies for resolving issues related to emailing customer invoices, statements, and dunning letters to your customer contacts.
Cause
Solution
You need to email a customer document to the primary email address. However, the usage for the primary email contact doesn't include the documents you want to email.
  1. Access the
    Addresses and Contacts
    Contact Information
profile group on the customer profile.
  2. Click
    Edit
    to access the
    Edit Customer Contact Information
    task.
  3. In the
    Email
    section, check if the
    Use For
contains any customer documents, such as
    Customer Invoice
    ,
    Customer Statement
    , or
    Dunning Letter
. On this prompt, you can either:
    • Remove all customer documents.
    • Add all customer documents.
Workday includes the primary email contact when you print and email a specific customer document, except when you set up customer contacts for specific documents.
You need to email customer documents to multiple email addresses, but you don't set up email documents for customer contacts.
To email customer documents to multiple email recipients, you must set up customer contacts on the
Addresses and Contacts
profile group of the customer profile.
You need to email customer documents to your customer email address, but you encounter an error message prompting you to configure a business process custom notification with a valid repeat-on instance.
  1. Access the
    Find Notifications With Invalid Repeat-On
report to view the notifications with invalid repeat-on.
    Security:
    • Business Process Administration
    • Manage: Business Process Definitions
    • Set Up: Customer Accounts
  2. From the related actions menu of the custom notification that you want to correct, access the
    Edit Notifications
    task.
  3. On the
    Related Instances
    prompt in the
    Repeat On
section of the task, select a valid option for your business process type. See: Reference: Repeat-On Instances for Customer Document Business Process Events.
