Steps: Update Matching Rule Sets with AI Suggestions
Set up AI Bank Reconciliation: Rule Orchestrator. See Steps: Set Up AI Bank Reconciliation.
For bank accounts where you enable AI Bank Reconciliation: Rule Orchestrator, you can:
- Generate new matching rule suggestions.
- Accept, edit, or reject AI-suggested matching rules.
When you accept suggestions, Workday prompts you to add them to a matching rule set.
- Access 1 of these tasks:
- Run AI Matching Rule Suggestion
- Schedule AI Matching Rule Suggestion

- Process: Matching Rule Setdomain in the Banking and Settlement and Financial Accounting functional areas.
- Access theReview AI Suggested Matching Rulestask.ThePotential Matched Transactionscount for a rule indicates the number of bank statement lines that you could have automatically matched in the past 12 months with this rule.
- In theReconciliation Rulecolumn, click a matching rule.
- (Optional) Review theHistorical Matchestab.The tab displays the historical reconciliation data that you could have automatically matched in the past 12 months with this rule.
- Complete theRule Detailstab:OptionDescriptionAccept & EditAcceptClick 1 of these buttons to accept the rule and add it to a matching rule set. Workday:
- Prompts you to select a matching rule set to add the rule to.
- Adds the rule last in the rule set.
When you clickAccept & Edit, Workday displays theEdit Matching Rule Settask to enable you to edit and reorder the rule. Example: You accept the rule and rename it.RejectClick this button to document your review of the rule and change its status toRejected.You can still access the rule from theBank Reconciliation AI Rules Audit Logreport.
