Steps: Build Cube and Merged Cube Sheets

  • Create the dimensions, attributes, and levels you want to add to the sheet. See Create Attributes, Create Custom Dimensions, and Steps: Create Levels.
  • If you're building merged cube sheets, create the source sheets. Source sheets can be modeled or cube sheets. You can merge up to 3 sheets.
  • Security:

Build cube sheets and merged cube sheets to model complex forecasting for your team. Cube sheets can contain multi-dimensional data input across a specified set of dimensions. They provide sheet users several viewing options and filters to help them find the cells they need.
  1. Groups help organize accounts on the sheet. Example: You can group the data entry accounts and calculated accounts separately.
  2. You can add general ledger and custom accounts to the cube sheet after you make the accounts cube-entered. In the account settings, for
    Data Entry Sheet Type
    , click
    Cube
    .
  3. When you don't need to add custom dimensions or attributes to the sheet, consider creating a standard sheet with custom accounts.
  4. By default, the sheet has all available time periods.
  5. Add levels, accounts, dimensions, and attributes to the sheet.
You can also hide cube accounts so they don't display on the sheet.
  6. (Optional) From the toolbar, click
    Sheet Properties
    .
    In the
    Sheet Properties
    you can:
  7. Hide specific data points. Cube restrictions are not available for merged cube sheets.
  8. (For user-assigned sheets only) Assign the sheet to users.
The sheet is ready for data, and you can find it in the
Sheets Overview
.
Get data into the cube sheet:
  • Import data with a spreadsheet.
  • Use the integration loaders to import data.
  • Enter data in the sheet from the
