Add Text and Date Columns to Modeled Sheets

Text
columns in modeled sheets enable users to enter any text into the cells of the column. Example: In a Personnel sheet, you can have a text column for
First Name
and another for
Last Name
.
Date
columns enable users to select dates from a calendar picker. Example: In a Personnel sheet, you want to track the start and end dates of employment for your personnel. You can add 2
Date
columns and label them
Start
and
End
.
  1. From the
    Sheet Summary
    , click
    Columns and Levels
    .
  2. From the
    Elements
    tab, expand
    Data Entry Columns
    .
  3. Drag the
    Date
    or
    Text
    elements into the center canvas.
  4. Select the element from the canvas to complete the
    General Properties
    :
    Opção Descrição
    Name
    Enter a name that displays as the column header in the sheet. See .
    Code
    Enter a unique code. Reference this code in the formulas and spreads of calculated accounts.
    Read only
    Select to prevent users from making changes to the cells in the column (except by import).
    Split
    Only displays when you have enabled splits in the
    Sheet Properties
    . See Change Sheet Properties of Modeled Sheets.
    Enables users to split the rows and enter different values for the columns.
    Use caution when you enable splits for columns in sheets that already have data. You might remove the existing data for the rows that have been split by other columns.
    Allow users to hide columns in Display Options
    You must must submit a customer case to to enable this option.
    • Select to enable usres to hide the column from their view.
    • Clear to prevent sheet users from hiding the columns.
The sheet displays the new columns. In the cells of text columns, users can enter any kind of information. In date columns, users click the cell and select dates from a calendard picker.
