Change Sheet Properties of Modeled Sheets
- Start a modeled sheet. See Steps: Build Modeled Sheets.
- Security:Model includes: sheets, accounts, dimensions, and formulaspermission.
You can set the sheet properties for modeled sheets to control things like:
- Enabling splits for columns.
- Freezing columns.
- Time strata.
- Scope for calculations to improve the sheet performance.
- Select from the main menu.
- To access the sheet builder for your modeled sheet, select either:
- Level Assigned Sheets
- User Assigned Sheets
- SelectEditnext to your modeled sheet.
- SelectColumns and Levels.
- From the toolbar, click the gear icon.
- In theDetailstab, you can change theName,Sheet Code, andDescriptionof the sheet.TheSheet Codeis the account prefix of all the modeled accounts you add to the sheet.
- In theSecuritytab, select the check box when you want to protect private information in the sheet. Only users with theAccess Salary Detailpermission can view the sheet.

You can select more than 1 column. On a personnel sheet, use this option to prevent access to row-level salary details in formulas.Allow splitsSelect when you want to make theSplitoption available for columns on the sheet. To enable the split, go to the column properties.Allow editing while viewing rollup levelsSelect when you want users to be able to add rows for rollup levels.Available in actuals versionSelect when you want the modeled sheet available in the actuals version.Recalculate on demandAvailable with the Manual Recalculation capability. Holds all calculations until requested. This setting is useful for large modeled sheets that take time to calculate. See Manual Recalculation.Select the time stratum associated with this modeled sheetSelect the time periods that the timespan displays. Typical options include, month, quarter, and year, depending on your calendar setup.Available when the sheet has a timespan column. See Add Timespan and Initial Balance Columns to Modeled Sheets.To change the time strata of sheets, you must delete the existing the data.
