Remove Dimension Values from Cube-Entry Formulas

Remove Dimension Values from Cube-Entry Formulas

You might have many reasons to remove formulas that refer to a dimension value from cube sheets. 1 reason could be that you want to delete a custom dimension value that's in use. Dependencies in the
Cube Entries
tab of the
View Dependencies
table means that someone entered a formula in the cell of a cube sheet, and the formula referred to the custom dimension values.
Having dependencies in
Cube Entries
doesn't prevent you from deleting the dimension value. However, the cube sheet displays errors for any cell that referenced the deleted dimension. You can prevent these errors by resolving the dependency before you delete the dimension value.
  1. Select
    Sheets
    from the main menu.
  2. Use the account prefix indicated in the
    Cube Entries
tab to find the sheet name, and open the sheet.
  3. From the main toolbar, select the version indicated in the
    Cube Entries
    tab.
  4. From the sheet toolbar, click
    Change Dimensions
    .
  5. Use the account, time period, level, and custom dimensions indicated in the
    Cube Entries
    tab to change the filters.
  6. You can replace the formula with the calculated value to save the data. Or, you can update the formula.
