Reference: Scorecard Settings

Enter the chart title.

Character Limit: 50

We select this option by default to display the chart in presentation mode. Turn the toggle off to hide the chart in presentation mode.

We automatically add preconfigured sections based on the calendar setup for your instance. You can change or delete these sections. Example: When your calendar uses months, quarters, and years, we deliver these sections: Month, Quarter, and Year.

Name the section title.

Indicates the columns within a section. For each section, we automatically add preconfigured columns that you can change:

Value - Actuals

. We don't automatically add this preconfigured column to the smallest time period.

Each column in a section has its own settings:

Expand to change settings for the specific column.
To delete a column, select

from the related actions menu of the column.
To reorder columns, drag and drop the handler icon.

For the column name, you can either:

Use System Derived Name
: We automatically create a name based on the period and column type.
Use Custom
. After you select this option, we display the
Name
field.

Available for all column types.

Give the column a custom name. We automatically populate the field with

Select the visualization for the column. The options that we display can vary:

Value
: Displays a value. Example: Display the amount or percentage for the specified metric.
Variance
: Displays a variance amount as calculated against another version and period.
Variance Percent
: Displays a variance percentage as calculated against another version and period.
Micro Chart
: Displays a micro chart.

When you select

Create conditional formatting rules for data series in the chart:

Description
: A brief description of the rule.
Expression
: A rule that evaluates as true or false. If true, the data changes to the color specified. Click the question icon for syntax rules and a list of operators.
Color
: The color of the data that meets the condition.
Series
: The data series to apply the rule to.

Expand the Accounts section to view, change, delete, or add accounts to the chart. Each account represents a data series on the chart.

Each account in a chart has its own settings:

Expand to change the settings for the data series.
To remove an account from the chart, select
Delete
from the related actions menu of the account.
To reorder accounts, drag and drop the the handler icon. The order affects the format and placement of the data series in a chart.
Add
to add accounts or dashboard metrics to the chart.

Sets the display name of the data series. Character limit: 50 characters. When you edit the name for these charts, you remove the version from the chart axis label:

Area.
Bar.
Column.
Doughnut.
Funnel.
Line.
Pie.
Pyramid.

Example: The default name for the data series is 6200 Taxes & Benefits (budget version). You edit the name to Taxes & Benefits. We no longer display the version label (budget version) on the chart, even when you reset the name back to the default.

Changes the account in the chart.

Filters the data by:

Levels.
Level attributes.
Dimensions.
Dimension attributes.

Format the display units:

Follow Account
: Use the display units set from the account. We use this format by default.
#,000,000 (#,##0.#)
: Display as millions with 1 decimal.
# (#,##0)
: Display as thousands with no decimals.
#,000 (#,##0.#)
: Display as thousands with 1 decimal.

Format the display units for negative numbers:

-123,456,789.12
: Use a negative sign to indicate a negative value.
(123,456,789.12)
: Enclose a negative value in parentheses.

Displays when your instance uses alternate calendars. Select the calendar to use.

Select the time strata for the data set.

Set a fixed time period based on the selected strata.

Example: For

Set the time relative to the reference period displayed on the perspective toolbar and based on the selected strata.

: Adjusts backwards from the perspective date by the number that you enter.
Forwards
: Adjusts forward from the perspective date by the number that you enter.

For

Single Period

spans, set the relative time for the chart. For

Range

spans, set the relative time for the start and end of the range.
