Add Tenants in Workday for Google Sheets (Workday)

Verify the Workday for Google Sheets add-on is installed. See Install Workday for Google Sheets.
Verify that you have a valid Google account.
Verify that your instance is enabled for Workday Single-sign-on (SSO). See Steps: Set Up SAML SSO into Adaptive Planning for Synced Users.
For each Adaptive Planning tenant, work with your Workday administrator to generate Google Sheets client details:
  1. Access the
    Tenant Setup Report
    .
  2. Depending on your data source, select
    Financials
    or
    Adaptive Planning
    .
  3. Select the
    Google Sheets
    tab.
  4. Click
    Enable Google Sheets
    . The new API client name displays as Google Sheet Client
  5. Copy these details:
    • Client ID
    • API endpoint URL
    • Authorization endpoint URL
You can create Workday-enabled Adaptive Planning tenants in Workday for Google Sheets. After you successfully create a tenant, the saved tenant name displays under
Tenants
in the Sign In prompt.
  1. Sign in to Google Sheets and open a blank spreadsheet.
  2. From the toolbar, click
    Extensions
    Workday for Google Sheets
    Workday
    . The Workday add-on displays.
  3. Click
    Add Tenant
    Adaptive Planning via Workday
    .
  4. Specify and save these tenant details.
    • Name
      : The name of the Workday-enabled Adaptive Planning tenant. Example: Production tenant or Sandbox tenant.
    • Client ID
      : The Google Sheets client ID from the
      Tenant Setup Report
      .
    • API Endpoint URL
      : The API endpoint URL for the tenant
    • Authorization Endpoint URL
      : The authorization endpoint URL for the tenant.
  5. Click
    Sign In
    .
  6. (Optional) Use the
    Manage Tenants
    option to add other tenants. You can edit or delete existing tenants from the list.
