To display data from modeled sheets in your instance, you can create model reports. These reports display information as rows or lists such as headcount details, including employee salary and benefits. You can also create other types of web reports. See Concept: Reporting and Analysis
To build model reports, you can:
  • Browse or search for reporting elements from a list of modeled sheets to which you have access.
  • Select individual elements, a range, or make a custom selection.
  • Combine data from multiple modeled sheets to create tiers. Example: A model report can combine data from the Services Revenue and Maintenance Revenue sheets.
Dimension attributes from modeled sheets aren't available for adding as report elements.
In model reports, tiers can:
  • Only contain elements from the sheet on which they were created.
  • Display data that is blank in other tiers. A gray line separates the tiers that represent different sheets.
  1. Select
    Reports
    from the main menu.
  2. Select
    Add New
    and then
    Model
    .
    The report builder displays.
  3. In the
    Sheets
tab, expand a modeled sheet to expose the available reporting elements.
  4. Drag and drop elements to the
    Columns
    area in the report.
    The
    Sheet
column populates to display the originating model sheet name. Initially, the report has only one tier of columns with elements from a single modeled sheet.
  5. (Optional) To create another tier of columns, in the
    Sheets
tab, expand a different sheet. Drag and drop elements from this sheet to the
    Columns
    area.
  6. (Optional) If a particular column in a tier or model has no corresponding element, you can drag a Blank Space design element in that column.
  7. (Optional) To set the range for an account or assumptions column, right-click the column and select
    Range
from the context menu. The Range tab for the Element Properties dialog appears.
