FAQ: What Determines the Currencies that Display in Reports?
The currencies that the reports display are based on the levels you include in the reports. When you include:
- No levels, the values display in the corporate currency or the currency assigned to the topmost level.
- Multiple levels with different currencies, values display n the corporate currency.
- Child levels all in the same currency, values display in the currency of these child levels.
- Parent levels that roll up child levels all in the same currency, values display in the currency of these parent and child levels. Example: Parent levels and the rolled up child levels all use USD so all values display in USD.
- Parent levels that roll up child levels in different currencies or the parent levels use different currencies from the children. The child values display in the parent currency and the rollup of the parents display in the corporate currency. Example: Parent levels use USD and the child levels use NZD. The child values display in USD but the parent rollups display in the corporate currency.
To filter data using currencies in the report viewer, you can include a currency element in the report and make it a parameter. See Add Parameters to Matrix Reports.
