Concept: Drill Down and Drill Through

You can drill down or drill through to get more information about a value on your:

Sheets.
Excel Interface for Planning
.
Web reports.
OfficeConnect
.
Dashboard charts.

When you drill down, you look deeper into the dimensions of your model. With drill-down, you select different modeling dimensions, such as accounts, formula components, and levels. Then you can see how the data of those dimensions contributed to the value. Example: You can drill down on revenue data and see how much a specific region contributed to the total value.

When you drill through, you go to another data source that we source from your system of record. That other data source is generally a report, but might also be:
