Enter the chart title.

Character Limit: 50

We select this option by default to display the chart in presentation mode. Turn the toggle off to hide the chart in presentation mode.

Expand the Accounts section to view, change, delete, or add accounts to the chart. Each account represents a data series on the chart.

Each account in a chart has its own settings:

Expand to change the settings for the data series.
To remove an account from the chart, select
Delete
from the related actions menu of the account.
To reorder accounts, drag and drop the the handler icon. The order affects the format and placement of the data series in a chart.
Add
to add accounts or dashboard metrics to the chart.

Sets the display name of the data series. Character limit: 50 characters. When you edit the name for these charts, you remove the version from the chart axis label:

Area.
Bar.
Column.
Doughnut.
Funnel.
Line.
Pie.
Pyramid.

Example: The default name for the data series is 6200 Taxes & Benefits (budget version). You edit the name to Taxes & Benefits. We no longer display the version label (budget version) on the chart, even when you reset the name back to the default.

Changes the account in the chart.

Changes the version for the data series. Select

From version selector

to use the version currently selected on the toolbar. Example: Add a data series twice to a chart and change the versions for each to compare data between the 2 versions.

Filters the data by levels, level attributes, custom dimensions, and dimension attributes.

Display values by circle size or color scale.

Indicates the color for the data series. The color next to the account settings section represents the color for the data series.

When you select

, you can indicate a

color for the data series.

You can overlay two accounts to visualize both size and color scale on a single series.

Format the display units:

Follow Account
: Use the display units set from the account. We use this format by default.
#,000,000 (#,##0.#)
: Display as millions with 1 decimal.
# (#,##0)
: Display as thousands with no decimals.
#,000 (#,##0.#)
: Display as thousands with 1 decimal.

Format the display units for negative numbers:

-123,456,789.12
: Use a negative sign to indicate a negative value.
(123,456,789.12)
: Enclose a negative value in parentheses.

Geo maps require a custom dimension with latitude and longitude coordinates.

Lists associated dimensions for the account used on the model sheet. The dimension must have custom properties with latitude and longitude coordinates. Pin a specific hierarchical dimension value to always display the child regions.

Lists all custom properties for the dimension. Provides the latitude coordinate for data points.

Lists all custom properties for the dimension. Provides the longitude coordinate for data points.

Settings that determine how to break data into granular groups.

Possible values:

Time: Breaks down data by time as defined by the time settings. Example: Break down data by each month in a year or by quarters.
Dimension: Breaks down data by a dimension, including levels and attributes. When you select this option, you must select a dimension. Example: Break down data by a level, location, or product.
None (default).

Specifies the dimension when the breakdown is Dimension.

Expand this section to define how to sort and limit data on a map.

Specifies the element to sort by.

None (default)
Data Series: Based on accounts or calculations added as data series to the map.

Indicates how to limit the data that displays in the chart.

Show all records (default):
First N
Last N
First % N
Last % N

When you select any First or Last option, enter a numeric value to indicate the number or percentage to limit by. Example: If  you choose Last N and enter 10, the chart will display the last 10 records on the Sort By and Sort Order selections. If you choose First % N and enter 10, the chart will display the first 10% records based on the Sort By and Sort Order selections. If the record set is 100, the chart displays the first 10 records.

Displays when your instance uses alternate calendars. Select the calendar to use.

Select the time strata for the data set.

Total Period
: Includes all the dates in a period.
To Date
: Includes all dates up to a specific date.

Sets time on the chart as pinned or unpinned:

Pin (blue) to set a fixed time period. The period of time for pinned charts is based on the selected strata. For example, if you select the strata:

Month: Choose periods based on month-year.
Quarter: Choose periods based on quarter-year.
Year: Choose periods based on the year.

For Single Period spans, set a specific date, such as May 2017. For Range spans, select the start and end dates, such as May 2017 to June 2017.

Unpin (gray) to set time relative to the reference period displayed on the perspective toolbar. Relative time is based on the selected strata. Select:

Current: Matches the current reference date.
Backwards: Adjusts backward by the number you enter.
Forwards: Adjusts forward by the number you enter.

For Single Period time spans, set the relative time for the chart. For Range time spans, set the relative time for the start and end of the range.
