Grouped Filters, Hub Files, and Scenario Management for Hubs
Preview Date: 2026-08-15
With this release, Adaptive Planning hub builders can create more connected planning experiences and help hub users keep context as they move across hub pages. You can now: Synchronize compatible filter selections across hub pages using grouped filters. Use a files area to store supporting documents and uploads. Manage scenarios directly from a hub. This release also enhances hub overview content, integration task status, link management, and hub navigation and accessibility.
Business Benefits
- Reduce repetitive filter changes when moving between hub pages that share the same dimensions, such as version and level.
- Keep reference material, such as spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, and rich-text documents, alongside the hub pages it supports.
- Create, edit, share, and merge scenarios from hubs without losing version context.
Changes
Hub builders can:
- Create, edit, and delete grouped filters on a personal or checked-out hub so compatible filters across eligible pages share a single selection.
- Add filters to existing grouped filters and set default group configuration. When a page has multiple filters for the same dimension, you can select which filter follows the grouped selection.
- Use a Files option in the hub navigation to rename, move, replace, and delete files and folders.
- Add rich-text documents, upload files, and organize content in nested folders on a personal or checked-out hub.
- Use the overview text widget to add formatted text, links, and images. The widget expands automatically as you add content.
- Show or hide overview widgets. When Configurable Workflows are enabled, you can also show or hide the Workflows widget.
- Group or ungroup eligible filters from the filter toolbar; grouped selections propagate across supported pages and persist per user, per hub.
- Reset grouped filters to the default group configuration.
- Browse folders, open documents as view-only, and download files.
- Manage scenarios from the Version dropdown and update the version selections.
- View accounts you can access in the KPI Summary dial when you don't have access to the configured account.
- Run an integration task and view the updated status in the side panel and Integration Tasks table.
- View only the values you can access on cube sheet pages. When no values are available, a message tells you why.
What Do I Need to Do?
To configure Grouped filters, users must be assigned the Edit Hubs permission. To use Grouped filters, users must be assigned the Access Hubs permission.
What Happens If I Do Nothing?
Your existing hubs continue to work as they do today. Hub users can't use grouped filters, the Files area, or enhanced overview content until hub builders configure them. The other enhancements such as Manage Scenarios, integration task status refresh, KPI Summary roll-down, cube-sheet filter scoping, and accessibility refinements apply automatically.
